I wish..no just stating if I am going to be passing out fliers for the upcomming show to all these Pontiacs I think we better expand it to include other cars!
G8's and actually Solstice's too. Since they are more relavant and running around.
but also with the classics section idea add a "Other Pontiacs" for anyone that does not fit into the catagories..like a 80's or 90's Poncho..that does not fit into the "classics" idea. _________________ 2007 Grand Prix GXP |

I definitely agree that have those sections could help at the same time I definitely feel like if I went to a site and saw a section for my car with no posts in I might be a little skeptic. Can't really hurt though right? _________________

When we made the site we didn't want it to look cluttered like ClubGP and the like. Justin has the right idea with the fact if you go to a site to ask a question on your specific car and saw only 3 threads in the topic then you might not even bother sticking around. _________________ 12.385 @ 110.80

A "Other Pontiacs" section would be OK though I would think. Either that or add the G8 into the GTO section as they are both Holden vehicles. _________________ 2008 Panther Black Metallic G8 GT

Not before 2004 they weren't. _________________ 12.385 @ 110.80

Which is true. But most action I've seen in there are from the Holden based '04-06 GTOs.
I mean, how much action do you see in the Grand Prix forums, prior to even the '97 model year? _________________ 2008 Panther Black Metallic G8 GT

I know what your saying and I know this site was a carry over from an all GP site.
but now this site says New England PONTIAC Enthusiasts Club.. Lets flip the question..How many people came here and saw only GP majority.. and had a G8 or Solstice or what not and left.
And the idea of ClubGP and this site. actually it should be flipped. They are majority a GP site stating it in thier web name.
But we could even put out there new sections and say "New sections added come join" and have those cars.
I mean I see a lot more Solstice and G8's on the road that Fiero's.
the site could say were expanding forums to include many different Pontiacs. Old and New.
Andrew I know we talked about this before and you said your only a GP mostly guy in knowlwdge and thats why you made this site and thats awsome. On my side I bought my GP and love to go to shows, events and gatherings and many times the topic comes out about what site I am on. If I am talking to a G8 guy or a GTO Judge guy I want t osay "Yea NEPPONTIAC.org..we just redid the site check it out"
You might get a lot of new blood and new people on here.
And Andrew I know you just moved married and so on..and its a little pain in the butt. But not hard to add and rearange the topic forums.
It sounds like Slizzo is interested in getting things organized so many the three of us can come up with a great way to expand NEPONTIAC.ORG to welcome all of Pontiacs possibly joining this summer. _________________ 2007 Grand Prix GXP |

I'll give you your sections but I'm telling you that people didn't just magically leave when they didn't see their car not here. Theres a Firebird section with only 2-3 members (and that's been on since birth. There's a Bonnie site that's been here since birth with only 4-5 members, and so on. I'll give you your sections, thats not a pain in the ass, and you and others can stump for membership but to be honest these other car types already have a local club established and want nothing to do with us. I have stopped talking to GTO guys because they feel that they are superior to us even though we think they have a pretty cool car they don't feel the same. _________________ 12.385 @ 110.80

Thanks man. And truthfully I have no encountered that yet...maybe cus I had a Z28 and could talk to the F Body guys??? Or the GTO guys??
I have no idea.
If it does not work..it does not work. I mean this even I am trying to get toether for the tribute day might just kick off the whole thing with more new members.
But yea I might be hoping for too much but gotta remember this site is for a brand, Pontiac..not a car or model..ya know? But anyways Thanks man..so Slizzo what do you think we should do for catagories?
something like:
60's Pontiac's
Indians from the golden age of Muscle cars! From GTO's to Catalina's
have a few sub forums of each prominant car..and maybe a tech section.
70's Pontiac's
The Era of the Bandit and the 455SD's and some big bad cars that ware the Arrowhead Emblem.
and a tech section for them
80's Pontiac's
You know them you love them the BIG 80's When KITT ruled the road and Pontiacs lineup was driving excitement!
With a tech section.
90's to present Pontiac's
2 decades of Pontiacs just becoming legends on the street! Does your Pontiac meet that status? Put it up here!
and a tech section.
ok so it might be over exaggerated but you get what I mean.
the main forums can be the same..maybe just these sections to put the other cars.
I think I might even change the flier for the tribute show to let people know were expanding the forums! _________________ 2007 Grand Prix GXP |
