Here are my results!
Well, I went up early in the morning before the gate opened. Previous to today my PB was 12.52 @ 114mph with a 1.86 short time back on June 30th.
My new times and PB's are as follows in the pictures of the time slips. The changes I made from June include a used Spec 3 clutch (15K miles plus from my Trans Am) and new slave cylinder, new Billet Pro shifter (see my other thread), new longer ARP wheel studs for strength and safety and I changed the Procharger oil.. LoL
I am car #700...
First and Second passes:
Third and Fourth Passes, notice my second pass and 3rd pass are six minutes apart:
Fifth and Sixth passes:
So on my 5th run of the day I made two new Personal Bests 1.64 short time and 12.095 E.T! My MPH is sucking bad at 114 and I really need to figure out why!! I should be trapping over 120 every time. What gives? Anyhow, my PB was against a C5 ZO6, Blue with the silver stripes, I believe it to be a H/C car that my Tuner recently tuned/dynoed.. I saw it at the shop on the rollers.
Without a doubt, a little more seat time, some cooler air and I'll be consistant 11's! Oh, by the way I think the scale is inaccurate at the track because this time my race weight was 3826.. last time it was 3926 and the car should weigh in at over 4050lbs. I'll will try to get it weighed this week, I just have to bolt the slicks back on to get my "race weight". And with that I mean EVERYTHING is in the car, even a 1/4 quart of transmission fluid (slid under the seat apparently from the clutch install two weeks ago), one quart of motor oil, spare tire, tools, amongst other things!! Ha Ha Ha :eek2: _________________

your trap speed and that 12.0 run aren't far off from each other. Maybe some faster shifting will do the trick but i think on that 5th pass the numbers all match up pretty well.
I can't see where your going to pull out another 5+ mph. _________________ Billboostified 98 GS stock and stayin that way.

I should be trapping 120-127mph easily on 530rwhp and 440rwtq. Something's just not adding up. I wonder if now the stock cat-back is really just choking the hell out of the car?? _________________

The cat-back is a definite possibility. If it's going to hurt performance, it would certainly be the top end.
Congrats on the new PBs!!! _________________ Magnaflow = (not so) Fucking loud (now that it's mounted correctly) |

Thanks..
Yup, another possibility that was brought to mind as well was "am I getting enough air into the blower?". I have the air filter in my inner fender well, it might not be getting enough air from under the car so I might look into a scoop to force the air from under the car at speed to the air filter.. I guess somewhat like the mustangs use or have used in the past! _________________

Sweet times man.....you'll get your 11's. You could add a cutout pre/post cat and shave off the exhaust going through the stock cat back and see how that goes. Or like you mentioned you can make sure that guy is getting enough air into the charger and revise the intake scheme. ZZP found on their cars (take this at face value) that a FWI could only get the 3800 SC so fast before the intake needed to be moved to a CAI when you were DEEP into the 11's.
Are you RIPPING shifts or just kind of shifting it through the gears? I remember whenever I raced my 96Z I always just shifted it 'normal' and never tore through the gears like I could have. I shifted quicker than stock but never wanted to risk missing a gear and screwing anything up since I liked to drive it so much, so I always made sure the clutch was engaged _________________ 2000 Monte SS - Almost gone to its new home

I was ripping the gears hard Brian. I acutally just installed a brand new shifter that I was "breaking in" and well I pulled the knob up off the shaft breaking the seal of the adhesive. I don't worry about missing gears I worry about back shifting (3-2 instead of 3-4) but to prevent that I backhand the shifter these days and it works like a charm! My 1/8th kinda sucks so maybe it's my shifting or something. Waiting on videos that I should be posting tonight.
Check out the shifter here...

Not even close... He has a built 347 and an F-1C blower (much larger than the D-1SC I use) as well he doesn't even have to shift the car it's a 4l65e automatic!! LoL not to mention he's probably got 800lbs less race weight than I do.. _________________
