Probably the only Ford I would buy. Very sharp looking car. BE CAREFUL.

Hey Justin, if you let me rip that thing around i'll let you drive me around instead of Jay.

Cobra's are sexy. If there was one mustang i would drive it would be that...besides maybe a 67 fastback.

Thanks guys.
Ya the red interior I like but at the same time I don't but it is unique so it's fine with me.

I will be doing a carfax on this car as soon as he sends me the vin# and I will also be taking a trip down there to look the car over before I buy it.

At this point I think I'm going to have the car shipped home on a truck or whatever instead of risking driving it back and getting caught.

Anyone know of a way to get an estimate on how much it is to ship a car from FLA to MA?

Justin - I work in Orlando a few weeks a month now. I'll be back down there the week of the 13th; if you want to stick a deposit on it I can check it out. Tampa's only an hour or so from me. Also, if you wanted, I could drive it back for you. Feel free to PM me if you want to work something out.

What's the asking price? Shipping a car + a flight down there may make it less worth it when you take into account the total expense at the end of the day.

go on auto trader and click on transport/shipping tab to find a carrier

I would trust Brian to drive it back though for sure

ask for a copy of title front & back and let me take a look at them for you to make sure there are no leins and that the seller is not trying to resell on the back without fisrt getting title in his own name ,etc... ( I deal with titles every day)

as for bill of sale it should go something like this :

APRIL 5 ,2009

I John Doe of 14 Palm Way Tampa Florida sell one 2003 Mustang Cobra vin #8269128549332 with 13,123 actual miles for the sum of $15,000.00 to Phil McCrevice of 38 Smith street Boston Massachusetts.

Vehicle sold as is , where is no warranties or guaranties.

SELLER___________________

BUYER___________________

then both of you would sign the ducument and each retain a copy

also he would sign over the title to you - be careful one thing filled in wrong and he will be applying for a duplicate- you cannot white out or cross out on a title

I prefer to only have them sign in the seller space and leave the rest for me to do as I please Wink

Typical shipping of a car from FL to MA is $600+, if you can do freight terminal drop-off and pick-up. Door to door adds about $100 on each end.

Well nothing is definite with this car yet because the guy is so slow to respond I might just say screw it and keep looking. He doesn't seem completely interested in moving his car. Either way if I did go with this car I would be taking a trip to Florida myself and checking it out. I've decided I want to ship the car as I don't want to put 2k miles on it right off the bat.

LOL it's definitly a neon.

I like them though. They are sporty little cars that with minimal work are pretty damn fast. Stock they are capable of HIGH 13's
